Supporting and promoting American understanding of Russian folklore and traditional Russian life and culture.

Expedition Policies

1.  All prospective participants should read the "Expedition Briefing" to determine if an expedition is a good match for them.  

2.  If you are interested in participating, please send an email to info@russianfolklorefriends.org, requesting the application form.  Please complete and return the form as soon as possible.

3.  Once the application has been accepted, you should submit your $500 non-refundable deposit to reserve your place on the expedition.

4.  At this time, you should also begin completing the other forms.

5.  All forms and the balance of the Expedition Fee are due 60 days before the expedition.  If a volunteer cancels his or her participation in an expedition within 60 days of the expedition departure date, the expedition fee is non-refundable and will be considered a charitable donation.

6.  If a volunteer wishes to join an expedition and it is less than 60 days before the expedition departure date and there is space available on the expedition, his or her participation may be approved.  If participation is approved, there will be an additional $100 late processing fee added to the expedition cost.
